Reach the finish before your opponent does….”
Problem Statement:
Two manually controlled robots of different teams are pitted in a race against one another in a track full of challenges. The track will have regions of gravels, sand, slants, obstacles and even 90-degree falls. The robot reaching the finish line first, wins.
Arena Specifications:

The track will be 40-100 cm wide.

The track will have zigzag shape and steep turns will be present.
- The track will have regions of gravels, sand, obstacles, slants, slopes, vertical falls, bumps etc. The track will be completely dry and no water bodies will be present. Also the steep 90 degree falls will be only along the forward direction. So the robot only has to jump along the fall and don’t have to climb the steep vertical step.
- Maximum height of the vertical fall will be 5 cm.
- The slope will not exceed 45 degree.

Robot Specifications

The robot should fit in a box measuring 25cm X 22 cm X 30cm (length x width x height).

External power supply: 220V 50 Hz ac power supply lines will be provided. The participant should bring connecting wire of length 8 meters.

It is not mandatory to use DC motors.If DC motor is used, it cannot exceed 12V.

Complete toy car base cannot be used. (But gearbox from toy car can be used).

Robot may be wired or wireless control. In case of wired robot the participant should bring wire of length 10 meter. In case of wireless control, the controller must have at least 2 frequencies.
- Maximum weight of the robot must not exceed 2kg.
Rules & Regulations:

The robot will be disqualified if it damages the arena anyhow.

No intentional harm to the opponent robot must be done. The referee will have a close look on the race and any incident of intentional physical contact with the opponent robot will cause disqualification.

The robot has to follow the given track. Taking any kind of shortcut will lead to its disqualification.

If there arise any dicey situation the decision will directly go to the coordinators.
- Students pursuing their studies in any discipline and also students passed out in 2008 are allowed to participate.
- If a robot doesn't move for 30 secs , it will be disqualified.
Prizes :
1st Prize:- Rs. 7000
2nd Prize:- Rs. 4000
3rd Prize:- Rs 2000
Certificates of appreciation and participation will be awarded.
Free accomodation will be provided.
*The prize money are subjected to changes.
